well folks...

The Vietnam segment is over. I am writing this from Phnom Penh in the lovely Kingdom of Cambodia. Its actually a beautiful city that feels more like a quiet town after Saigon. It is just starting to set in that my academic semester is over and that it is now summer and I only have a few countries standing between me and my return to the states. Of course, I don't know how often I will be able to update this, however I am guaranteeing that stories will come by the time I reach Bangkok. The plan is to stay here for tomorrow- visiting the Killing Fields and meeting up with a few other group members (I am currently traveling with five other LC students and one Vietnamese!). Monday morning we will wake early and head to Siem Reap in order to visit Angkor Wat. We are guessing that we will be there for a day, maybe two before heading off for a day long bus ride to the southern tip of Laos. We should be there for about a week before heading to Thailand. As travelers we are all pretty relaxed and the plans are always subject to change. However, I will give updates as I get the opportunity. But for now I must go relax in the hammocks on the deck outside our room by the lake that we are paying less than two dollars a night for! Hope everyone is well and I look forward to seeing people in a month!
