Still walking

A continuation of the Carnarvon Gorge Great walk...

DAY 3

Lunch spot with a view.

He who walks fast.

Roos or Ruse?

Our lil corner of West Branch walkers' camp.

Here we had dinner with fellow great walkers from Cooktown. They made an appearance in the photos from the morning of Day 2. We've pledged trail magic to each other in the years to come.

DAY 4

Start of the day.

Looking back at West Branch walkers' Camp.

Views.

Plants.

Friend. What you can't see here is that s/he was lying directly across the path.

Savannah.

Grasses.

Mahogany Forest.

Lunch on the edge of the Mahogany Forest.

Pig evidence. Sad the amount of destruction they wrought.

Water at the Consuelo Camping Zone.

DAY 5

Breakfast buddies.

Another friend...

Blooming grass trees with a mob of rainbow lorikeets.
They were quite cacophonous.

Typical lunch.

Our water for the evening and our campsite at Cabbage Tree Camping Zone.

DAY 6

Saying farewell to our trail buddies.

A gorgeous start to our final day of walking.

It's wildflower season.

Blooming grass trees.

Trees, grass, and sun.

Not a bad view.

Not much visible evidence of human infrastructure.

Roos or Ruse?

Overlooking The Roof of Queensland from Boolimba Bluff.

Descending back into Carnarvon Gorge.

Much nicer path down than the up on day 2.

Last few steps on the Carnarvon Gorge Great Walk.
